• “Tradesperson” / “Trade Business” – an individual or business creating a profile to promote trade services and/or purchase job leads.

• “Lead” – job request information available for purchase by Tradespeople.

• “Platform” – the FindATradesPerson.com website and associated systems.

2. Eligibility

You must:

• Be at least 18 years old.

• Reside or operate in the United Kingdom.

• Provide accurate, complete and up-to-date registration information.
  We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false or misleading information.

3. Our Role

FindATradesPerson.com is a lead generation and listing platform.
We do not:

• Provide trade services directly.

• Guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or delivery of any work carried out by Tradespeople.

• Take responsibility for agreements, contracts, payments, or disputes between Customers and Tradespeople.

All contracts for work are strictly between Customers and Tradespeople.

4. Customer Accounts

Customers may:

• Create accounts and post job requests.

• Receive contact from Tradespeople who purchase their lead.

• Edit or remove job requests at any time.

Customers must ensure job details are accurate and lawful. Misuse of the Platform may result in account removal.

5. Tradespeople Accounts

Tradespeople may:

• Create business profiles.

• Upload credentials, insurance information, and other business details.

• Purchase leads and contact potential customers.

Tradespeople are solely responsible for ensuring they hold the appropriate qualifications, licences, and insurance required by UK law to perform their services.

We may request verification documents at any time.

6. Lead Purchases & Payments

• Leads are sold on a non-refundable basis unless otherwise stated.

• Prices for leads or subscription services will be displayed clearly before purchase.

• Payments must be made through our approved payment processors.

• We reserve the right to change pricing or billing methods with reasonable notice.

If you believe a lead is fraudulent or materially inaccurate, you must contact us within 48 hours for review. Refunds are granted at our discretion.

7. User Conduct

Users must not:

• Post misleading, defamatory, offensive, or unlawful content.

• Attempt to bypass the platform’s lead-purchase system.

• Misrepresent qualifications or identity.

• Use the Platform for spamming, advertising unrelated services, or any harmful activities.

• Attempt to access or tamper with the Platform’s systems.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account termination.

8. Content & Intellectual Property

Users retain ownership of any content they upload but grant FindATradesPerson.com a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, use, and reproduce such content for platform-related purposes.

We reserve all intellectual property rights to the Platform, branding, and content we create.

9. Reviews and Feedback

Customers may leave reviews about Tradespeople.
We may remove reviews that are:

• Abusive, defamatory, or discriminatory.

• Fraudulent or irrelevant.

• In violation of UK laws or these Terms.

We do not edit review content beyond moderation for compliance.

10. Privacy & Data Protection

We comply with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, store, and process personal data.

Users must not misuse any personal data obtained through the Platform.

11. Liability Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law:

• The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

• We do not guarantee continuous access, error-free operation, or accuracy of information posted by users.

• We are not liable for any loss, damage, or dispute arising between Customers and Tradespeople, including:

  • Property damage

  • Poor workmanship

  • Financial loss

  • Missed appointments

  • Misrepresentation by users

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any matter that cannot be lawfully excluded.

12. Account Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for:

• Breach of these Terms

• Fraud or suspicious activity

• Failure to pay fees

• Misuse of the Platform
  You may close your account at any time.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally.
We will notify users of significant changes via the Platform or email.
Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
